Damien Kestle

is a certified Instructor in the International Martial Arts and Boxing training system under Sifu Richard Bustillo. He is also certified as an Instructor in Jeet Kune Do, Kali, Boxing, and Integrated Grappling under Sifu Larry Hartsell and Sifu Tom Clark. He has achieved a 4th degree black belt in the Curley Martial Arts Curriculum in the arts of Boxing, Muay Thai, Filipino Kali Escrima, and Integrated Submission Wrestling/ Jiu Jitsu under Sifu David Lumsden and Sifu Kevin Lumsden. Damien has also trained with Dan Inosanto, Erick Paulson, Matt Thornton, Rick Tucci, Rick Fyke, and Hock Hockheim. He has over 15 years experience in these and other arts such as Silat, Modern Agonistics, and Gung Fu. The following is his list of awards from the North American Grappling Association.
2004- NAGA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP (Expert Class)
140-149 lb. Class- third place
130-139 lb. Class- second place
2003- NAGA North American Grappling Championship (Expert Class)

His highest ranking was 5th in the nation for the 18-30 no-gi men competitors.

David Lumsden
has been a practicing Martial Artist for over 38 years. He started his training in Lung Fu Do Karate earning a 2nd degree black belt and teaching that system for 20 years. He has additional traditional based training in Tae Kwon Do, Tang Soo Do, and Long Fist Gung Fu. David is currently a senior instructor in the International Martial Arts and Boxing Academy program under Sifu Richard Bustillo. He is certified to teach the integrated curriculum of the IMB including Jeet Kune Do, boxing, kickboxing, Filipino Martial Arts, and submission grappling through original Bruce Lee student, Richard Bustillo. David is also a member of Integrity School of Hybrid Boxing under Larry Brizzi, Modern Agonistics under James Lafond. He currently is one of the founding members of Integrated Fighting Arts of Maryland and Jeet Kune Do of Maryland along with Kevin Lumsden and Damien Kestle, and senior instructor and coach at Archbishop Curley's Martial Arts Program. He is the founder/director of The Lunatic Fringe Gym and routinely writes and publishes on various martial arts topics related to martial arts science and training. David is a practicing orthopedic surgeon with an M.D degree from Penn State and master's degrees in anatomy and exercise physiology from the University of Maryland. He has competed at various levels including karate, boxing, submission, filipino stick and modern agonistics.

Kevin Lumsden
has been training in and researching the martial arts for over 36 years. He started training in Lung Fu Do Karate under Sensei Steve Remsky in 1972 and earned his black belt in 1977. Kevin has been training extensively with Richard Bustillo, Dan Inosanto, Larry Hartsell and Tom Clark in Jeet Kune Do, Filipino Kali & Eskrima, Muay Thai, Boxing, Wrestling, and Jiu Jitsu. He has also trained with other notable instructors: Raffy Pambuan, Chris Sayoc, Leo Gaje, Chai Sirisute, Carlson Gracie, Hock Hockheim and Matt Thornton. Kevin has been personally trained and certified as a Senior Instructor in the International Martial Arts and Boxing Academy under original Bruce Lee student, Richard Bustillo. Kevin is the co-author of the Richard Bustillo biography, "Iron Dragon".

Noel Smith
Noel has been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since 1999. He started his training with 4th degree black belt Roberto " Maguilla" Marques DaSilva. He recieved his Brown Belt in 2005. Even though Noel now trains under Renato Tavares a 4th Degree Black Belt and a member one of the Elite Teams in the world (American Top Team), he is very thankful Maguilla gave him his knowledge and skills to teach others. Noel now plans to take his skills to the next level with the help of Renato Tavares. Noel hopes all perspective students will give him the chance to allow him to teach his style of BJJ to them.

He studies the IMB program under Sifu Richard Bustillo, and has also trained with Sifu Larry Hartsell of the Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do Grappling Association. He has competed in several NAGA competitions and placed.

James LaFond
has been involved in amateur boxing and submission boxing as a fighter, coach and cornerman since 1976. He has competed as a stick-fighter since 2000, and as a machete-fighter since 2002. James is the author of numerous articles appearing in Black Belt Magazine from 1998 through 2006. His book credits include The Fighting Edge [2000, Paladin Press], The Logic of Steel [2002, Paladin], and The Broken Dance [scheduled for a 2008 release from Paladin].
